Mission Statement
and
publishing policy

The purpose of the Glastonbury Archive is:
* to publish or republish books and archives which are out of print, under-published, unable to be published in print or rejected or blocked by mainstream publishers;
* to publish these books free to the reader and the author;
* to publish books and material in the transformative, socially enlightening, green, spiritual and esoteric fields, with a keen eye for material relevant to the 21st century and to positive social change;
* to publish books and material with a goodly quality of integrity, originality, usefulness and public-service orientation;
* to keep such books publicly available on Internet for as long as is possible, in the furtherance of free thought and public enlightenment.
* to buck current trends toward commercialism, limited ideology and market-censorship in publishing.

The Glastonbury Archive is run by Palden Jenkins. I have worked in the book trade as an author, editor, publishing consultant, printer and bookseller, specialising in 'mind-body-spirit', history, alternative knowledge, health and spirituality. I have good knowledge of these areas, and a keen sense of the value of enlightening ideas and the look of a 'good read'. Three of my own books are available on the Archive. Part of my motivation in doing this service, apart from the joy of disseminating free quality information, is disappointment at the current state of the book world, and a wish to explore new avenues of integrity-publishing on Internet, for the general good.

Thank you for your interest!
