Notes May this journey into the essence of historical time and change be enlightening, and may it contribute to the wider and deeper understanding of world history. This is important, since we are entering a century of choice. Big choice. This is the consequence not necessarily of astrological cycles or influences: it is a consequence of humanity's accumulated actions to this day, within the context of those influences. May this work bring benefit to the future too, for it was my struggle to grapple with the future which led me to study the past, and to seek a deeper organic order in it. If you work on closely-related aspects of astrology and history, we can discuss adding your material to this website, or linking it in, since contrasting and complementing interpretations can be of value. Heartfelt acknowledgements to the following people for their assistance and encouragement in the calculation and compiling of this work: - the late Neil Michelson, San Diego USA, for starting me off with valuable data; - Rob Hand of Astrolabe, Cape Cod USA for providing computing facilities, ideas and encouragement; - Nancy Lavoie of Cape Cod for her help and encouragement; - Steve Hill in New Zealand for facilities and for understanding the importance of this work; and - Sig Lonegren, once of Vermont USA, now defected to Glastonbury, England, a non-astrologer who has practically encouraged this astrologer in his work. May this Historical Ephemeris give you endless hours of fascination and musing! This ephemeris is not available in print-published form. Palden Jenkins Glastonbury, England, 1999. |
