6. Posted by: Marjorie Lowe Allen Garner

Where are you?: Montana, USA

Comments: My ancestors are from the British Isles; Scotland, England, Ireland. I have lived in the mountain west of American all my life. I'm a poet, painter, gardener, naturalist, healer.... spiritual seeker. Would like to know people in the British Isles. It is a dream of mine to visit, and perhaps live there. The USA has become, sadly, a negative place --- that is, the government and the corporations --- I want to be close to nature and be a part of the healing of our Mother Earth and all therein. Please write to me if you'd like to communicate. I am 63 years old, mother of 3 sons, and grandmother of 3. Live alone. Full of life and energy and creative dreams. Marjorie in Montana

Comments: Pilgrim since 1971, last visit May 2005, can recall the 'No Hippies' signs in pubs like the George, we took them to task and won, tho' now I'm surprised there are no 'No Straights' signs posted. Perhaps there are never such folk there anymore.

Comments: Wonderful Website! I was looking at a map of England, as it's been in mind for quite sometime that I'd like to move there someday. I just picked a county to explore, Somerset, and from there was lead to Glastonbury. I would definitely like to visit one day, and perhaps move there, we'll see what time tells.

12. Posted by: Ellie Eaton

Where are you?: Green River, Wyoming USA

Comments: Hello! Well, I am really enjoying this website to say the least. I have always been drawn to England. I heard about Glastonbury about 4½ years ago. One morning, last summer, I woke up and clearly had this thought in my mind, 'I need to go to Glastonbury.' Since then I have purchased products that I later discovered are from Glastonbury and I have met individuals from there as well. Two of them happened to come into my place of employment (the public library), and through a series of 'coincidences', for lack of a better word, we connected. This longing is growing steadily and so I 'happened' to find your site, which seems to speak so directly to me, and of me, that my longing to go there has instensified. so here I am looking into the ways and means required to make a trip there a reality. I find all of your information very helpful, as well as tempting. It will be quite awhile still, however I am ON the path now and looking forward to doing more research in this period of waiting. Thank you for this insite into Avalon. Blessings.... Ellie

Comments: I am so excited to be finally visiting your amazing city! I'm coming to teach at the international dance festival held there each year in the beginning of March, Majma 2006. (www.majmadance.org.uk) - they should be on your list of annual events, I think! You have nothing else listed in March.... in any case, coming to the land of my ancestors is something I've been looking forward to all my life and I'm happy someone else is paying for most of my trip! YAY!

20. Posted by: Roshell Van Zyderveld

Where are you?: Brisbane

Comments: The name Isle of Avalon came to me 2yrs ago. Not having heard the name or that a place actually existed was amazing as out of the blue I looked up on google about Joeseph of Arimathea who is of significance to me and bingo was I blown away to find out about Avalon. My whole experience with the Mist, the underworld that I had called the Valley of Death has truly grabbed me by the unexplainable knowing of such a place it is so vast to put into words. I am originally from NZ and to find that everything about me and my heritage is all connected to this Awesome Beautiful place.

Though we will never go back to those times, we pray for guidance about how to return the Earth Wisdom Traditions upon the Earth today. Blessings to all, Love Eilalean

37. Posted by: Darrell

Where are you?: Palm Springs, CA, USA

Comments: At age 50, I have learned a great deal about my ancestors. My surname is Bubb (an early Bubb was a Knight of The Crusades.). My Paternal Grandmother was a Vollmer, from Bavaria. I have always somehow felt connected to the mystique of Avalon. It is my heart-felt wish to see and experience the area, but I fear it shall only come to pass as my dying dream. I, like so many here, have never had "good jobs" to afford such a trip. So, for now, I am solemnly content with such tales as "The Mists Of Avalon". Peace be with you. Darrell

Though I live In the U.S. my home has always been the British Isles. Reading the books felt like talking to an old friend-new and familiar at the same time. I hope that's how I feel once I finally go there... at home.

Website URL: http://sg1ninerfanfic.blogspot.com/

Where are you?: Seattle, WA, USA

Comments: I visited the Tor and the Chalice Well on the first day of Spring, 1996, during the New Moon. I've never been to such a magickal place in my life! I bought some stones there, and candles (saving one for that special day). I drank water at the Chalice Well as it flowed from Mama Earth, and did a little water ceremony of my own. Glastonbury, to me, is the Pagan 'Mecca'. My visit there is one of the best memories of my entire life.

87. Posted by: Amanda Paulger

Where are you?: Vermont, USA

Comments: I've always wanted to go to the Isle of Avalon...maybe when I do the study abroad program in Ireland I will send myself over there. Anyway, my family has a long history of English heritage... besides that, my mom is one of what in Arthur's years, many called "the fairy folk". I must have gotten my dad's genes; i'm too tall and much too fair. Although I do have the dark hair! Anyway, I believe that the place of my forefathers is calling me... my heart aches for it! Literally! Any of those who live there now are lucky; don't take the land for granted! And remember to save me a spot, I'll be there in a couple of years!
