IsleofAvalon represents this interesting small town to the online world.
It works in conjunction with Glastonbury's other public service sites - they provide information listings, links, facts and podcasts, and they're listed at the bottom of the menu on the left. It collaborates with the Glaston Group, which encourages pilgrimage and assists pilgrim visitors - people like you.
This site has existed since 1996, founded by Barry Hoon, and this is its fourth incarnation.
From1999 to 2006 it was run by Palden Jenkins, with the goodwill and assistance of a host of local contributors, friends and sponsors.
It is now being taken over by Jason Porthouse, and you will see new developments appearing on the site during 2007.
Since the site started doing full stats analyses in Jan 2006, the site received its millionth visitor in just under a year on 16th January 2007. See our stats. The site exists because we love our home town. It isn't financially supported by any official bodies or local interests.
