Meet our sponsors!

Here are our sponsors and patrons. They support this site in spirit and financially. Check out their sites - they're interesting!

'Sponsors' are locals and friends who have a symbiosis with this site, so they have a banner. 'Patrons' simply appreciate the benefit this site brings to Glastonbury. This site is not supported by local official bodies (though they should).

For details on how to become a sponsor or patron, please see below. Questions: .

Jacoby Cottage - accommodation for women. Click to find out more!

Whether you're visiting Glastonbury to pursue the guidance of your heart, the call of your spirit, historical research or your own path to healing, you will find welcome, peace and sanctuary at Jacoby Cottage. After all, this house was once a chapel of the great Abbey where monks welcomed pilgrims.

Its age is not the only unusual thing about Jacoby Cottage. It is also a house run by women for women – men are welcome visitors, but the accommodation is for women only.

Policy issues

Sponsors. The IoA site keeps advertising to a minimum. This is because it is a public service site serving the whole town, and its visitors and fans, and advertising and paid-for links can skew this service aspect in favour of certain businesses and interests only. Thus we do not accept advertising in the normal sense. But since we are unsupported by local bodies or the 'community pot' (we've tried several times since 1997) it is necessary to raise support privately.

Patrons. Glastonbury is frequently piggy-backed by interests from elsewhere, which leads to problems and complications for us here. We're not here to support brands using our name in USA, Australia - or the Avalon-Excalibur hotel in Acapulco, Mexico! The only exception involves businesses and projects run by former Glastonbury residents living elsewhere in the Glastonbury spirit, or which bring benefit to Glastonbury. Many believe Glastonbury is a place where you can get and gain things. Actually, what you give and what you get are closely connected. Thus, by giving something to Glastonbury, you will get something - but it brings benefits of a kind that money cannot buy.

How to become a sponsor or patron

All monies raised in this scheme go toward running expenses for the IoA site - bandwidth and server charges, stats subscriptions, office costs and other expenses. The webmaster and other contributors do the work as a 'labour of love', and the site is not-for-profit, dedicated to the benefit of this town and its people. Non-residents gain benefits when they visit, through the service and uplift this place offers them.

Sponsors. If you live or trade locally to Glastonbury, you can become a sponsor. It costs £100 per year or £9 per month by direct debit (except for a few key pages where the charge is higher). This isn't just an advertising deal: it's a statement of support for the IoA site, with clicks to your site in return.

Patrons. If you live elsewhere and appreciate the site (especially the free Glastonbury Tarot section) we welcome contributions toward the site's upkeep and development. We do not offer banners to people living or trading further away from Glastonbury or abroad, except in specific circumstances.

To become a sponsor or patron of the IsleofAvalon site, please , and he will talk you through it. Patrons outside UK may pay by PayPal - in UK a cheque or direct debit is best. E-mail first for details.

Your support is greatly appreciated. It helps keep this web-service going, and makes a big difference.

With love from Jason, the webmaster, and all contributors, sponsors and patrons!
